In a lovely building at the top of Malvern with very cool rotating door entrance. Typical wetherspoons pub, value for money drinks and meals. Nice terrace out the back overlooking the town.
Nice building and decor, but that's where the compliments end.Sty 6-15pm there was only one person serving and about eight of us waiting. Eventually one became two but it still took about twelve minutes to get to us and then two of the real ale pumps were out. As we were going to our table I heard that a third pump had run out. I filled my mug at the coffee machine then realised the milk jug was empty. I returned to the bar and asked a waitress to fill it. She went into the kitchen and, after five minutes, I stopped a waiter and asked where she was. Two minutes later she returned with the milk but, by then, the coffee I'd poured was cold. As I sat a chap, served after us, said that he'd given our table number at the bar and it had been accepted thought that number had already been taken. My son's chicken was pretty solid but, by now, we were pushed for time because our show at the theater started at 7-30 so we let it go.A very dissapointing visit indeed.
A huge Spoons so its usually possible to find a table. The staff are friendly and efficient and the food is the usual good value. Its often quite busy at the bar but you can jump the queue by using the app.
Comfy with well priced food and drink. Not much else to say as it's your typical Wetherspoons pub. Service is quick and hassle free, even on busy days. The app is also great and have had no issues using it there to purchase both food and drink. Drinks are probably a little quicker buying from the bar, but I don't mind really.
Stayed a couple of nights so we could visit the Morgan factory. We stayed in the family room at the front which was very spacious. Staff friendly and meals downstairs very good value. In fact the hotel was extremely good value and well located for the town, theatre, cinema, park and shops, but be prepared for some steep uphill walking. Parking is non-existent at the hotel but there's car parks near by. Would recommend the hotel for a budget short stay.
